Musical genres are created because of primary similarities in the music and lyrics of songs. It would be difficult for you get get hip hop confused with classical music or techno confused with country. Now in some cases, genres may overlap, but it is still pretty easy to detect the genres of songs.
One pretty clear and obvious genre of music would have to be country music. This genre is well-known for including certain instruments in the music.
